I only have photos of two of my favorite things to show you today, but they are very special! This, of course, is my sweetie. Avi (short for Avinoam, a name taken from the book of Judges) is my wonderful DH of 18+ years. He was born not far from where we live now, but both of his parents immigrated to Israel from Yemen.

Another favorite of mine is socks. Knitting them. Wearing them. Picking out and buying the yarn to knit them. This sock did not yet have a heel flap (back part of the heel) when we left the house this morning for Jerusalem. I am pleased with my progress. Oh and there are still random clumps of snow in evidence in Jerusalem, in case you care about such things.

Here is a close-up of the fabulous texture of this pattern. These are the Waffle Weave Socks, designed by the talented and lovely Judy Sumner. Aren't they great? I can't wait to wear these (better finish this one and make the mate, huh?). I don't often bother with extending the design down the foot, but these are just too much fun!

Love the socks -- they are so springy! Looked her pattern up and she has great ones . Thanks for sharing.
Raindrops on roses....
So how did you and Avi meet?
Socks are wonderful. I really like that pattern.... hmmmmm doesn't look too hard....
Handsome husband; your girls take after him in coloration. He looks like he has a nice personality. Wow, those socks look difficult but knowing JS's patterns it must not be too bad. Bright and cheery socks.
Handsome Husband, Beautiful Socks
Great picture of Avi! I love the socks. I think I will have to add that pattern to my list after I knit the mates to the other five socks I've knitted. I still am suffering from SSS (Single Sock Syndrome)...lol.
