Hot Under the Collar

The neckwarmer is finally done! I still need to sew on snaps to keep it closed, but the knitting is done. After Liat graciously agreed to model it for the blog photo shoot, she didn't want to take it off. Good sign... The yarn is Wisdom Yarn Poems. I love the way the self-striping of the yarn fit into the pattern.

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to wear this, though I sure could have used it last night! The daytimes are pretty mild right now, so I'll just have to make some night-time plans before the weather gets too hot.

Now I can cast on for the cotton top I have planned for Meital. I still need to adjust the math for the armhole decreases, but there will be a fair amount of ribbing and stockinette before I get to that point, so I will do a Scarlet O'Hara and worry about it tomorrow.

Oh, it really does look gorgeous. I've had many compliments on mine also. I forgot to tell you that I do have the three buttons at the top on mine and added the snaps at the bottom later.

That's pretty!
I agree with you about the striping - lovely the way that worked out! You're making me want to get that scarf out so I can get on with learning how to make things like that :D

It turned out beautifully. I like the striping that hapened with the yarn but I also like the details on the ends of the scallops. The blouse Liat is wearing goes nicely with it. I can see wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry and also wearing it with jeans. I don't think I've seen a neckwarmer before. I really like the idea.

Hmm, must be for me, those are my colors!!!! I think that would work well also for me to make a "um, bib" for when I go out to eat; I always wear my food later! But it is gorgeous.
